Product Description:
It’s a fact, the fewer number of parts that have to be put together, the faster the assembly and that
is one less part that can create a quality issue. Automotive customers want units to put together –
not pieces! Forest City Technologies, Inc. pioneered the application of Plastisol as a retention device
for fasteners and stampings with TECH-TITE. We have developed technology specifically to solve some
of these fastener retention issues and have several different configurations available. These fastener
retention mechanisms consolidate parts, cut labor costs and reduce quality issues for our customers.
TECH-TITE can be put on bolts, nuts, washers, stampings and various metal parts to
maintain the fastener in a unit until they reach the assembly line. The retention device typically will
withstand normal transportation vibration and will retain fasteners until they reach final installation
positions on the assembly line.
TECH-TITE retention features are strategically located so they do not interfere with
fastener assembly. However, each application must be reviewed for the particular requirements.Available
in a full range of hardness from soft and flexible to semi-rigid or solid form, they are also available
as expanded foams in low, medium, and high densities.
