Product Description:
These powder coatings are applied to increase wear resistance, reduce friction, eliminate squeaks, prevent bimetal
corrosion, resist UV weathering, provide electrical insulation, or provide an aesthetically pleasing surface finish.
Parts subjected to salt spray testing can reach 1,000 hrs. + before signs of red rust (depending on substrate, part
configuration, etc.)
Nylon 11 is a thermoplastic powder coating that is typically applied utilizing electrostatic
spray methods or fluidized bed. State-of-the-art processing developed by Forest City engineers provides the most
consistent, high quality coating in the industry. Our application methods allow these coatings to be selectively
applied to selected areas of a fastener or stamping. Nylon coatings provide superior protection from galvanic
corrosion between dissimilar materials, excellent corrosion protection (400 hour minimum salt spray) and
excellent lubricity.
Epoxy powder coatings provide excellent chemical and corrosion resistance.
Surface Requirements: The surfaces to be coated shall
be either microcystalline zinc phosphated, zinc plated, or iron phosphated steel.
Typical Applications: Stamped nuts, bolts, screws,
clips, stampings and door/seat strikers
