Product Description:
Biwax® Thread Sealer is a hot-melt, dip applied thread sealing compound, typically used on sheet metal screws. When applied to specific threaded areas of the fastener, this product provides a water seal between the screw and the hole into which it is driven. During installation of the fasteners, the Biwax® compound is pushed up the thread path to reside under the head of the fastener. This closes off any openings that may allow passage of water or moisture to the interior of the threaded area. It adheres well to plated finishes or to dry coatings, and is not harmful to food exposure applications.

The Biwax® coating compound is used where moisture or water sealing pose problems of accelerated corrosion. It conforms to major automotive and appliance industry specifications.
