Product Description:
Astorlok™ Nylon Locking/Sealing Patch is a specially formulated thermoplastic nylon material that is bonded to the threads of fasteners to create an interference fit upon installation of the fastener with the mating component. Commonly refered to as a Prevailing Torque fastener solution, the Astorlok™ Nylon Patch provides a positive resistance to vibration and loosening of the fastener under load.

• Conforms to IFI 124/524specifications for the performance of non-metallic element-type prevailing-torque screws.
• Covers 90 to 120 degrees of the thread circumference.
• Requires no curing time, allowing for adjustment and repeated use.
• Bonds permanently to alloy and carbon steels, as well as organic and plated dry finishes, including phosphate. Oils or rust preventatives can be applied afterwards.
• Performs reliably as a sealant for oils, lubricants and other fluids under pressure and at an elevated temperature.
• Eliminates the need for washers and lock nuts.
