Custom High Consistency Rubber (HCR) Transfer Molding

High Consistency Rubber, commonly called HCR, is a silicone or rubber material with a thicker, gum-like consistency before it is molded and cured. HCR Transfer Molding is a process that uses heat and pressure to move that material into a mold cavity, where it cures into the final molded part.

HCR Transfer Molding can be useful for durable molded parts, thicker part sections, certain geometries, molded-in features, or applications where a traditional rubber molding process is the better fit. It gives customers another option when LSR is not the right material or process for the part.

Forest City Technologies provides HCR Transfer Molding support for customers that need durable custom rubber or silicone components. This process can be a strong fit for parts that require strength, flexibility, sealing performance, cushioning, insulation, or long-term reliability.

We support customers that need durable custom rubber or silicone components.
