Controlled Thread Friction for Consistent Fastener Assembly
Precote® Top 100 is a dry, wax-based friction control coating designed to reduce underhead and thread friction, support more consistent torque-tension performance, and provide temporary corrosion protection for threaded fasteners.
In many fastener assemblies, friction variation can create inconsistent clamp load, torque scatter, stick-slip, fretting, and avoidable installation challenges. Precote® Top 100 helps manufacturers improve assembly control by applying a dry, tack-free friction control coating directly to threaded fasteners before installation.
As a licensed applicator of Precote® products, Forest City Technologies supports customers that need consistent fastener performance, scalable production coating, and application-specific guidance for friction-controlled threaded joints.
Application Areas
Precote® Top 100 can be used across a wide range of threaded fastener applications, especially in serial production environments where consistent assembly behavior is important.
- Automotive and e-mobility assemblies
- Electronics and electrical components
- Electric motors
- Household appliances
- Office machines and computer industry applications
- Two-wheel vehicle assemblies
- General industrial threaded joints
