What is the Precote 30 Thread Locking and Sealing Coating?
Precote® 30 is a middle-strength, solvent-free thread locking and sealing coating based on microencapsulated acrylates. Applied as a dry, tack-free film, the coating remains inactive until the threaded components are assembled. During installation, shear and pressure rupture the microcapsules, allowing the adhesive to activate and cure.
Designed for both sealing and locking threaded connections, Precote 30 provides controlled friction, reliable assembly characteristics, and a high sealing effect. It can be used on external and internal threads and is particularly well suited for serial production and high-volume assembly applications.
